The International Testing Agency (ITA) has issued a two-year suspension to Canadian swimmer Penny Oleksiak for violating doping control rules, specifically due to three “whereabouts failures” from October 2024 to June 2025. Oleksiak, who accepted a provisional suspension on July 15 and stated she is a clean athlete, did not contest the violation. The suspension lasts from July 15, 2025, to July 14, 2027, and all results from June 16, 2025, onward are disqualified. Swimming Canada CEO described the failures as an “administrative mistake.”
