Pope Francis’ popemobile converted to clinic for Gaza children

The West Bank city of Bethlehem is converting the late Pope Francis’s popemobile into a mobile clinic for Palestinian children injured in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Father Ibrahim Faltas highlighted the vehicle, used by the pope during his 2014 visit, as a “Vehicle of Hope” aimed at providing urgent medical care. He noted Pope Francis’s deep concern for Gaza, emphasizing the dire need for medical support following the recent violence that has claimed tens of thousands of lives. The mobile clinic will be equipped with medical supplies and staffed by a driver and a doctor.
