A Calgary food hall, First Street Market, has been closed due to “pest activity” identified by Alberta Health Services (AHS) effective Nov. 28. The closure order affects all vendors in the market, which will remain in place until AHS lifts it. The market is undergoing commercial-grade sanitation and treatment, with follow-up inspections planned. General manager Chris Gale emphasized the importance of vigilance in multi-vendor settings due to shared health concerns.
