The budget for a new 155-bed hospital for federal inmates in New Brunswick has surged to an estimated $1.3 billion, more than three times the original $400 million estimate from 2021. Set to replace the outdated Shepody Healing Centre, the facility will provide comprehensive health care in both French and English, with aims for completion by 2032.
