Eight-year-old Mohammad Farhad has avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), limiting his diet to boiled eggs and pasta shapes. His mother, Ramzia El Annan, emphasizes that ARFID is a sensory-driven eating disorder, distinct from other eating disorders, and often misunderstood. Despite the challenges of ensuring Mohammad receives adequate nutrition, she hopes to raise awareness and support for families affected by ARFID. El Annan aims to start a program to help children explore new foods and gain recognition within the education system for necessary accommodations.
