The two nations swap hundreds of prisoners as Russia launches more drone attacks on Kyiv and Zelenskyy demands new sanctions.

Russia and Ukraine conducted a significant prisoner exchange, with Ukraine receiving 307 POWs in return for an equal number of Russian servicemen, despite ongoing drone and missile attacks on Kyiv, which injured at least 15 people. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy emphasized the need for increased sanctions against Russia to facilitate peace negotiations, as the Group of Seven nations warned of further sanctions if Russia does not agree to a ceasefire. Ukrainian officials expressed disappointment over the lack of meaningful diplomatic progress following talks in Istanbul.
