Christchurch couple allowed to keep $40,000 found in drug dealing cash

A young couple in Christchurch discovered over $232,000 in suspected drug money hidden in their home’s roof space during electrical work in May 2022. The cash, vacuum-sealed in five plastic bags, was found after they purchased the house five months prior. Authorities have ruled that the couple can keep $40,000 of the seized money.
