Milwaukee judge resigns after obstructing federal immigration agents

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan, convicted of obstructing federal immigration agents, has resigned, citing a desire for the court to have a judge in place. Dugan faces a maximum of five years in prison for the obstruction charge. She defended her record as a judge and expressed faith in the legal system despite the ongoing legal proceedings. Dugan was accused of helping an undocumented man evade arrest at a courthouse in April.
