Spider monkey seized after California cops pull over Rolls Royce

California Highway Patrol officers pulled over a speeding Rolls Royce Ghost in Madera County and found a spider monkey hidden in the driver’s jacket, which is illegal to own in the state. The monkey was taken to the Oakland Zoo for care, while the driver, identified as Ali Mused Adelmuhomed, was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of cannabis for sale. The monkey is receiving a health check and will be moved to a proper facility, as officials stress the importance of wild animals being in their natural habitat.
