On Friday, over three dozen students from Collège catholique Samuel-Genest were abandoned by their bus driver in an east Ottawa parking lot after he returned to the depot and left. Parents were notified by the local school bus consortium (CTSO), and police took statements from students on-site. The driver, who has faced previous complaints from parents, has been terminated and will no longer drive a school bus. The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the incident.
