OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney will address reporters in Ottawa on Wednesday evening following a two-day cabinet retreat to prepare for the upcoming House of Commons session. With the House set to begin next week, Carney will discuss key issues, including the government’s planned tax cut before the summer break and a budget expected in the fall, diverging from earlier statements by Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne. Additionally, the government is in talks with the U.S. regarding participation in the new missile defense system known as Golden Dome.
