Penny Oleksiak, Canada’s most decorated female Olympian, faces a two-year suspension from competitive swimming due to “whereabouts” violations related to anti-doping regulations. In an exclusive CBC Sports interview, the 25-year-old denied using performance-enhancing drugs and expressed regret over the missed tests, attributing them to scheduling mistakes. Despite the suspension, Oleksiak remains focused on competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and takes full responsibility for her situation. She emphasizes that her missed tests were not intentional and that she is tested frequently throughout the season.
