The Ontario Liberal caucus has nominated John Fraser for interim leader, a position he is set to assume for the third time, pending approval from riding association presidents and the executive council. Party president Kathryn McGarry announced that details of a leadership race will be revealed by February 9. Fraser has represented Ottawa South since 2013 and previously served as interim leader after Kathleen Wynne and Steven Del Duca. This follows Bonnie Crombie’s resignation after a lackluster leadership review and the party’s third-place finish in the last election.
