Construction of a $23.4 million water supply pipeline for the Oneida Nation of the Thames will begin soon, following a federal contract awarded to a London, Ontario company. This project will extend the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System to provide clean drinking water to the community, which has been under a boil water advisory since September 2019. The initiative aims to enhance regional water infrastructure and empower First Nations involvement in such projects. Completion is expected by spring 2027.
