A recent survey indicates that a significant minority of Canadians harbor negative views of Jews, which are linked to their sentiments toward Israel, particularly amidst rising antisemitism in Canada. Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, hate crimes against Jews surged, with 900 out of 1,284 reported incidents targeting this community. The surveys reveal that older Canadians generally hold more positive views on Jewish-Canadian relations, while a higher percentage of francophones in Quebec express negative opinions about Israel and Jews, attributed in part to a lack of interaction with the Jewish community.
