Neethan Shan named new TDSB chair

Ward 17 Trustee Neethan Shan has been acclaimed as the new Chair of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) after former Chair Rachel Chernos Lin’s departure. Shan, the first South Asian Chair of the TDSB, previously served as Acting Chair and has been a trustee since 2016. Additionally, Ward 19 Trustee Zakir Patel was elected as Vice Chair during the TDSB meeting.
