Montreal dockworkers vote as employer threatens lockout Sunday barring deal

The Port of Montreal employers association has threatened to lock out 1,200 dockworkers if their union does not agree to a final offer by 9 p.m. Sunday. The offer includes a three per cent salary increase per year for four years, with total compensation reaching over $200,000 per year. The Canadian Union of Public Employees is currently voting on the offer, with results expected by 6 p.m. Sunday.
