Man shot dead by police at Milton Keynes train station

A man was shot dead by police at Milton Keynes railway station following reports of him carrying a firearm. Armed officers arrived at the scene in Elder Gate and fired multiple shots after challenging the man. Despite attempts to resuscitate him for around 50 minutes, the man was declared dead at 1.44pm outside the station building, where a cordon has been put in place.
