A search for the remains of First Nations women will commence on Monday at the Brady Road landfill in Winnipeg, specifically targeting Ashlee Shingoose, a victim of serial killer Jeremy Skibicki. The province plans to subsequently search the same landfill for Tanya Nepinak, who has been missing since 2011 and is believed to be another victim of a different serial killer. The government recently conducted training for staff and previously initiated a test phase for the search. Skibicki, now serving multiple life sentences, was convicted of murdering four women, with some remains found in previous searches.
