Kitchener Man Faces Prison in Ethiopia Over Walkie-Talkies

Peter Pal Jola, a resident of Kitchener, Ont., was arrested in March in Ethiopia for allegedly importing military equipment due to carrying walkie-talkies purchased on Amazon. His daughter stated that he intended to assist people in staying connected and was unaware that bringing walkie-talkies into the country was illegal.
