The Kenora Airport Authority has partnered with North Star Air to launch a direct one-hour flight service between Kenora and Thunder Bay starting January 15, 2024, filling the gap left by Bearskin Airlines’ departure. This initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity, support economic growth, and improve access to health services. Kenora’s Mayor Andrew Poirier expressed enthusiasm for the service, highlighting its potential benefits for tourism and healthcare. A launch event is scheduled at the Kenora Airport on December 20, 2023.
