Bystanders rescue two youths from falling through ice

An officer with Hamilton police’s marine unit warned that no ice is safe after bystanders rescued two youths who fell through the ice near Pier 7. Despite warnings, the youths remained on the ice until it cracked beneath them. Four courageous individuals attempted to assist, some also falling in, but all were safely rescued by police and first responders. One youth was taken to the hospital, while others received on-scene treatment.
