Fresh horrors, cult classics in NorthwestFEARFest’s scary lineup

The third annual NorthwestFEARfest in Edmonton features new releases such as Mom starring Emily Hampshire and The Soul Eater. Special guest Paul Williams will attend a 50th-anniversary screening of Phantom of the Paradise. With 17 features running from Oct. 17-22 at Metro Cinema, the festival offers a mix of fresh releases and classic horror films, catering to a genre film audience in the city.
