Erica McLean, a school trustee in Prince George, B.C., was mistakenly detained by police with guns drawn during a high-risk vehicle stop while parked at a Starbucks. The RCMP had been pursuing a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to a crime syndicate, leading to the incident. Although police explained the situation to her afterward, McLean remains traumatized and seeks answers about why she was treated as a threat. As an elected official, she feels compelled to share her experience and advocate for community safety.
