On April 28, 2025, Elections Canada actively engaged on social media to combat misinformation during federal election day, addressing various complaints about polling procedures and candidate activities. They clarified allegations of poll worker misconduct and confirmed that campaigning on election day is permitted, while also reminding voters of the legalities surrounding ballot secrecy. Despite technical difficulties with their official website, Elections Canada provided alternative contact methods for voter inquiries as polls closed across the country.
