Double murderer Mark Lundy, who has maintained his innocence regarding the killings of his wife Christine and daughter Amber 25 years ago, is set to be released from prison next month after over 23 years behind bars. Found guilty initially, Lundy’s conviction was quashed by the Privy Council in 2013, but he was retried and found guilty again in 2015. Following his third appearance before the New Zealand Parole Board, he will soon be released despite his continued claims that someone else is responsible for the murders.

Cyclone Tam: Man forced to climb out of car window to escape floodwaters in Auckland
