Trokon Dousuah, a 33-year-old Edmonton amateur mixed martial arts fighter, tragically died after participating in a charity event at the Enoch Community Centre. His training partner, Natalija Rajkovic, raised concerns about his health and readiness for the fight, noting that he suffered from asthma. Despite undergoing training sessions twice a week for two months, Rajkovic believed that the eight-week preparation was insufficient, highlighting the risks associated with combat sports participation.
