Michael Rafferty involved in inmate altercation after being targeted by other prisoners

Michael Rafferty, convicted of murdering eight-year-old Victoria Stafford, has been charged with assaulting a fellow inmate after a confrontation in prison. Following years of harassment due to his status as a child sex offender, Rafferty attacked the inmate with a pan after being threatened. Although he pleaded guilty to the assault charge, it does not extend his life sentence but delays his eligibility for parole. Correctional authorities confirmed the incident without commenting on staff intervention.
