The Conservative Party accused Tait of failing to produce desirable content and missing key performance targets, questioning the need for additional taxpayer funding. Tait admitted to awarding significant bonuses to executives, including herself, with some employees earning over half a million dollars annually due to these bonuses, prompting Conservative MP Andrew Scheer to thank her for inadvertently furthering Conservative efforts to defund the CBC.
