Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was aware of South Bow’s plans to revive parts of the canceled Keystone XL pipeline when he discussed the project with U.S. President Donald Trump in October. Although the Canadian government is not directly involved, energy discussions will be significant in upcoming trade negotiations under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement.
