The federal Liberal government plans to increase military pay but remains silent on potential raises for RCMP recruits, despite Prime Minister Mark Carney’s campaign promise to boost cadet pay and recruit more officers. The National Police Federation advocates for higher pay during training, currently at $525 per week, to improve recruitment and align with other police services.
