Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Deputy Juan Ignacio Zavala praised Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s recent speech at the World Economic Forum, highlighting its relevance to current global dynamics and the need for strategic alliances among nations. Carney emphasized that the traditional international order is breaking down and that bilateral negotiations with hegemonic powers are often disadvantageous. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Carney, asserting that Canada benefits significantly from U.S. support. This exchange underscores the growing alignment between Canada and Mexico ahead of a forthcoming Canadian trade mission to Mexico.
