Boyle, Alta., residents band together as wildfire evacuation forces them from homes

Evacuation Order for Boyle Residents

An evacuation order was issued for the village of Boyle just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, as a fire grew less than two kilometers from the community. All residents of Boyle, located approximately 150 kilometers north of Edmonton, were instructed to travel to a reception center in Lac La Biche immediately. Steve Wilcox, who manages a trailer park in Boyle, played a key role in helping evacuate the residents.
