10-year-old Cooper Roberts, paralyzed in the Highland Park parade shooting, found solace in sled hockey with the Hornets team, composed of players with physical challenges. Co-founded by Jim Smith and J.J. O’Connor, the organization provides a welcoming environment for players to enjoy the game, as seen during a fundraiser game against the Highland Park High School Giants where Roberts excelled and celebrated a win.
