During an online conference, heritage and urban development experts advised supporters of the Atwater Library and advocates for family-friendly urban planning in Westmount to oppose a proposed 25-storey tower at Ste-Catherine St. and Atwater Ave. The experts emphasized the importance of preserving the area’s human-scale development and encouraged community members to voice their concerns about the project. Supporters were urged to take a stand against the proposed tower to protect the character of the southeast sector of Westmount.
