Gideon Sa’ar urges EU to label Iranian regime as terrorist organization
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Sa’ar announced on X/Twitter that he spoke with EU officials, including High Representative Kaya Kallas and Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombous, about the Iranian regime’s repression of protests and urged the EU to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization. He emphasized the IRGC’s role in violence against Iranian citizens and its promotion of instability in the Middle East. Sa’ar views this designation as a significant moral support for the Iranian people. While the IRGC is classified as a terrorist organization in several countries, the UK has opted for sanctions instead of proscription.
