The White House announced key leaders overseeing the governance of Gaza following the first meeting of a Palestinian committee led by Ali Shaath, who aims to improve conditions in the territory. The committee will operate under a Trump-led “Board of Peace,” with an executive board that includes notable figures such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Jared Kushner. Challenges ahead include disarming Hamas and deploying an international security force to ensure ceasefire compliance. The U.S. is now in the second phase of its Gaza peace plan, emphasizing the necessity for Hamas to return hostages.
