Summary
As Nova Scotia faces a significant housing shortage affecting tens of thousands, non-profit organizations are stepping in to help those priced out of the private market. This effort is particularly challenging for groups reliant on volunteers to manage operations. Among these organizations is the Antigonish Affordable Housing Society, represented by board members Colleen Cameron (chair), Pauline MacIntosh (vice-chair), and Mary Oxner (treasurer), who stand in front of a new development on Appleseed Drive, set to open this summer.
