The Grade 1-2 French immersion class at Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School in LaSalle won the town’s “Name the Snowplow” contest, naming the newest snowplow Jack Frost. LaSalle’s manager of roads and parks, Mark Beggs, organized the contest to involve local schools and celebrate the winning students with a visit from the snowplow. The public works department and Jack Frost visited the school to congratulate the students, allowing them to explore the new plow and enjoy treats dispensed from the machine during the event.
