Moh Ahmed claimed his first Canadian senior cross-country title, winning the men’s 10-kilometre race in 29:30.4 at Fanshawe Golf Course, marking his return to the event after over a decade. Despite challenging conditions, he took the lead with two kilometers to go, finishing ahead of Xavier Peras-Phaneuf (29:46.1) and Santiago Gaitan (29:48.2). Ahmed and other top finishers are eligible for the World Athletics Cross-Country Championships on January 10 in Tallahassee, Fla. In the women’s race, Ceili McCabe won with a time of 32:57, outperforming her competitors by nearly a minute.
