Mark Gibbon, a 62-year-old from Beaconsfield, returned to the UK after being arrested for attempting to drown his daughter-in-law, Jasmine Wyld, during a Florida holiday. Following an argument over a will at the Solterra Resort, Gibbon allegedly pushed Wyld underwater, while their nine-year-old granddaughter tried to intervene. He paid $26,000 for bail and pleaded guilty to battery, with more serious charges dropped. Despite the attack, Wyld has expressed forgiveness and requested his release, as they have been in a relationship for two years.
