Israeli Army Reports Killing of 9 Palestinian Fighters in Rafah

The Israeli army reported killing nine Palestinian fighters in a tunnel in Rafah, Gaza, and claimed over 30 others were eliminated while attempting to escape the area. As of now, Hamas has not commented on these claims, although they have reiterated their commitment to a ceasefire agreement mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkiye. Reports indicate that around 200 Hamas fighters are trapped in Rafah, with ongoing demands for safe passage. Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have resulted in nearly 70,000 Palestinian deaths, predominantly among women and children.
