Mark Gibbon, a 62-year-old grandfather from Beaconsfield, was arrested for attempting to drown his daughter-in-law, Jasmine Wyld, during a family vacation in Florida over a will dispute. Despite the serious nature of the incident, Wyld requested Gibbon’s release, stating he had been “punished enough,” which led to him pleading guilty to battery while more severe charges were dropped. The two had been in a relationship for two years, causing familial tensions, especially with Wyld’s estranged partner, Gibbon’s son Alex. Following an anger management course, Gibbon was not sentenced to jail time and returned to the UK.
