The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is investigating the death of Bradley Gleeson, a Kingston correctional officer who allegedly took his own life due to extensive workplace harassment at Joyceville Institution. Gleeson’s mother, Denise Ducette, described him as a kind and loving person, unaware of the bullying he faced from co-workers, which included isolation and hurtful messages. Friends of Gleeson stated that the harassment, which intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic, was often ignored by management, leading to a toxic work environment that ultimately contributed to his tragic death.
