A veteran Oranga Tamariki manager, with nearly 30 years of service, has been found guilty of bullying her staff, including derogatory remarks towards a crying supervisor. The Employment Relations Authority ruled that her demotion and final warning were justified following complaints from three supervisors during her leave in March 2023. The manager, referred to as GYN, oversaw a team of supervisors and a practice leader at the organization. This case highlights serious concerns about workplace conduct within Oranga Tamariki.
