Trump Administration Ends TPS for Somalis
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Trump administration will end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 2,500 Somali immigrants, effective March 17, making them eligible for deportation. This move aligns with President Trump’s ongoing efforts to reduce Somali immigration, which he has publicly criticized. TPS for Somalia was initially granted in 1991 and has been renewed by multiple administrations until now.
