A man named Seoras Martin-Smith, 26, engaged in inappropriate online interactions with a young overseas teen, sending her nude photos and encouraging her to reciprocate before resorting to manipulative threats when she cut off contact. He threatened to leak her photos and insulted her with derogatory terms, claiming he was only trying to help and was still “attached” to her. Martin-Smith was sentenced in the New Plymouth District Court for indecent communication with a minor and possession of objectionable material, despite displaying a lack of remorse during the proceedings.
