The director of Saran Contracting and Gurukirpa Contracting, Ajay Pal Singh, is under scrutiny following the collapse of both companies, which owe over $57 million to Inland Revenue. Financial statements reveal he paid himself $7.1 million in salary between 2019 and 2022 and purchased nearly $2 million in gold bars. Liquidation proceedings have uncovered no assets to cover the debts, with Singh claiming the companies are owed tax refunds.
