Ben Yedder found guilty in sexual assault case

French football star Wissam Ben Yedder received a suspended two-year prison sentence in France for sexually assaulting a woman while intoxicated, being ordered to pay €5,000 in compensation and undergo treatment. The victim requested €25,000 in damages, with Ben Yedder also facing a six-month driving license suspension. Ben Yedder, a 34-year-old former AS Monaco player with 19 caps for France, can appeal the ruling and has previously been charged with rape in a separate case in the south of France.
