Suspect rearrested and indicted in California teen’s 2019 disappearance and death

Authorities have arrested Joshua Anthony Martinez in connection with the cold case disappearance of California teenager Victoria Marquina. Initially arrested in October 2019, he was released but has now been charged with murder and multiple sex crimes involving a minor. Marquina, who disappeared at 16, has not been found, although her vehicle and cellphone were located shortly after she vanished. Prosecutors indicated that Martinez fled to Mexico before being extradited to the U.S.
